To be totally honest I have never shorted a stock, I have never tried.

I have been tempted a few times to suss it out, but so far haven't. I studied crop finance and finance coal markets at uni sp I understand call and puts and paying a premium to exercise options... so I should give it a go, but it scares the hell out of me to be honest. Which is just idiotic on my behalf. Because I know you can make money on shares going down too.

Do you know if I have a commsec and nabtrade can either of those platforms provide shorting?

I have borrowed money to invest in shares and that's worked out well. I thi k I am nearly ready to try shorting. Can you give any tips on the best platform for shorting?
