I have to say IM surprised that the average diamond size has increased to 1.3 carats but not surprised that the grade dropped to 7 carats per 100bcm.
I get the feeling that with the drop in grade some much larger diamonds have not been picked up and are awaiting to be found when the oversize stock pile is retreated latter in the year.
Today is a good day to clear out the short term traders before the current uptrend continues.
