Where do you think "growth" in profits comes from? Of course there is certain degree of speculating price of gold or else why would you pick a sector that is basically dead? Would you load up on PDN for instance?
Regardless of the attractive fundamentals, I filter out stocks using a quick and dirty tool, basic chart. Then I use a basic logic of only find the strongest in the beaten down sector. If that sector improves the strongest ones will usually outperform the weaker.
I can't see the logic of bottom picking price when the chart is basically dead despite its potential. Have a look at this sector and see which ones has lots of potentials but isn't reflected in the chart movement.
Cost sustainable production? You need to re-read Mainholm post again. Or maybe use FMG as a good case study of sustainable cost management.
