It is certainly an interesting discussion OV, the acquisition vs exploration one. Clearly Andy and co think there is a lot more to Hemi yet to be discovered, as well as more widely, and many of us have been a little disappointed/frustrated that the exploration has really only focused on the need for detailed MRE estimation based on the initial inferred resource over the past year, rather than a mixed program balancing out new discovery with the need to prove up the resource as far as possible to underpin the DFS.
I guess the $ and management focus can only stretch so far. At least now the rigs have finally been released to explore more widely at Hemi as well as Toweranna and the other potential deposits.

But looking at the Kairos announcement today upgrading their resource only 40 km away from Hemi to 1.6 Moz of gold, with some reasonable lithium potential to boot, at some stage acquisition might also be a quick way to add ounces to feed the Hemi mill if the DFS case for funding would benefit from an even bigger resource to make the most of the sunk cost of investment in the mill? Then spin-off the various DEG and Kairos lithium assets into a 100% owned subsidiary? At the moment the Kairos resource is starting to stack us as an economical one, but perhaps not if it needed to build its own mill?
