There is a very important point that you have to understand if you are going to be investing money in the stockmarket and into mining companies. It is not like money in the bank. It is much more like gambling albeit you can choose to inform yourself as much as possible from the reams of information that companies are obliged to release (notice i did not say 'put out' which is a term that really annoys me)
The first thing for you to do if you are seriously interested in Heron Resources is to request an Annual Report. This document has an enormous amount of information about all the properties and projects that the company is or has plans to undertake.
These companies are less worried about what the share price is doing and more concerned with the daily running of their business and the management of their assets. If you go out to see their operations, in many cases you will be disappointed to see a hole in the ground, a lot of dirt and some machinery.
Next - read the quarterly announcements that update the annual report and the operations.
Then read reports from analysts and brokers which you will find on the company website. Also understand the market for the product, the cost of digging it up and getting to market .
You can then ask questions of management but don't do so until you have done your own homework and have a better understanding of the companies outlook.
Remember however that no-one will be able to give you absolutes. Targets and outlooks and plans should be viewed as possibles and only probables when all the other criteria falls into place. Management, Cash, commodity outlook, ore quality, importantly a Market for the product. Also how many shares there are and what percentage of the project is relevant to the company. WHat COULD be the earnings per share value should the project get up. How much money do they need to make it happen and what is the likelihood of them getting it.
Of course Heron, like any worthy company is continually assessing its properties and ensuring that they do their best to extract value for their shareholders. They are liable to do so and Heron is one of the best at this. In the past few years they have spun out 4 companies to list on the market and given free shares to HRR holders.
I hope this sets the scene. This job of speculation is very imprecise. It can ruin you in an instant, it can destroy your savings and it can make your fortune but it is not easy money and will require many many years of study and research before you begin to get it. Enjoy the ride but be realistic with your expectations.
