Sure,
1) pay crazy salaries to staff citing a ‘tough situation’ with hiring
2) have high headcount in every department
3) have high headcount in the HR department (who’s job is to keep adding headcount)
4) pander to anyone and everyone who asks for more resources, more headcount and higher annual increments
5) never consider culling or even whispering the word ‘downsizing’ lest management is seen as inhumane
The biggest costs in a software company is people costs. If you don’t have the heart ❤️ to fire and cull and force redundancies when the company cannot sustain it, you’re a failed manager of a business.
