I think it's just a matter of a cashed up company opportunistically acquiring assets during the bust phase of the commodity cycle. They may not even HAVE a plan for it, other than the knowledge that they can get it for less than its really worth. Whether they develop it, or just flip it for a profit after the market recovers, is all the same to me.There are probably some economies of scale to be found there though.
