They did mention last year that their BG spec was above about 99.7%. (See below).
If they are currently nudging 99.6% in testing, then it MAY be foreseeable that some “minor” modifications might allow a BG spec product from the same flowsheet... test and full-scale are different things though!
However, having said that, every additional 0.1% gets harder and harder to achieve! So it’s not quite as simple as it may appear at first glance.
Plus, “BG spec” is increasing lately afaict, with battery companies seeking higher quality product to make better batteries. None of this tier 3 nonsense!
Anyway, time will tell, but there are indeed some positive aspects here that should be recognised, and some upside to previous guidance/plans seems very possible.
