I was wondering about the water in Tower Hill. First time I have seen it mentioned, which is not to say it hasn't been mentioned. Tower Hill was used to dump water from Gwalia, so there is also the question of where the water from Gwalia can go ... I presume that is resolved.
I think the problem is more salt than water. If the water is hyper-saline they won't be able to use it I don't think, and they will have to get approval to dump the salt. Lake Raeside is large salt lake nearby but I am not sure it is cheap to get the water there and evaporate it. The Raeside deposit owned by Kin just over the road from the Gwalia mill has the same problem .. pits with hyperaline water and no easy solution. Kin left those deposits out of its last PFS supposedly for that reason, although maybe they also wanted a reason to convince shareholders it was a bad idea to build a mill at the time, which was probably true.
I don't have special knowledge of this, I just think if there an unsolved problem it should get more of a mention. DCN had a problem at Mt. Morgan's with water supply for the mill which still hasn't been properly discussed. Kin did a much better job of explaining what they were doing and how they were doing it to test water supply for the mill they were at one time going to build at Cardinia.
I notice GMD and DCN are saying slightly different things about Mt. Morgans. DCN say they have been planning to restart the Mt. Morgans mill with a mix of Jupiter and outside ore. GMD make no mention of the latter, although they do refer to the DCN quarterly. Still not completely clear to me if the water problem at Mt. Morgans is resolved. I think the case was they used a bore field from an older mill which turned out not to be able to supply the increased amounts needed by the new mill. Is that problem fixed or not, and if so at what cost? The Mt. Morgans DFS got the water supply wrong so it is reasonable to ask how robust any new solution is, if one exists.
Also would be interesting to know what the level of care and maintenance of the Mt. Morgans mill is .... just preserving some equipment, or keeping it ready to turn back on? The Money of Mine podcast mentioned equipment had been been scavenged from the Mt. Morgan's mill for use elsewhere, presumably by Genesis. I think it is material to know whether there is a working mill there ready to turn back on or bits of a closed down mill that will require a certain amount of rebuilding which these days can involve unexpected costs and long delays. Of course the M of M report could be completely wrong.
