JORC due out within the next 4 weeks. Thats good news. A bit earlier than 2102 which is nice.

JORC will only include coal that can be dug up in open cut but they still expect between 1.8 and 2 billion tonnes. Thats pretty damned good surely. I guess they could have tried to include all the stuff that required underground mining just to make the numbers look even better. Its good that they haven't bothered though as 2 billion tonnes will still be being dug up after all we are long done so what is even deeper is largely irrelevant right now. What matters how is:

a) transport
b) transport
c) transport
