I saw today the most curious post on social media saying that the founder of Protect Karangahake used the non-notified consent process to bring more heavy traffic (busses) to small roads in the Karangahake area, and also getting the HDC to spend money on upgrading the road for their personal/business purposes.
My reading of this document is that there seems to be substance to the comment - is it a bit hypocritical?
Bullswool Farm is an economic activity just like any other - what gives the owners of Bullswool Farm the right to claim to be so high and mighty against NTL? Bullswool Farm use non-notified consents to bring heavy traffic (busses) and far larger numbers of people into small Karangahake roads than NTL ever will. This is just across the Highway from NTL Talisman.
I wonder if Bullswool Farm met the conditions of their consent? Might go for a look with the measuring tape lol!
Time for a new motto?
