I'd say it was likely a pro-forma letter just like the pro-formas activist groups get people to sign and send in. I don't think a rep of a listed company would be so stupid as to send a handful of fraudulent supporting letters (that seems to be the thrust of your last three words). Big claim to make or even infer.
