The content is Cottee blowing off, citing his achievements, counting his gas chickens before a drill has even been spudded etc. He's trying to rally support, reclaim greatly diminished credibility. He probably gave the reporter one of his infamous slide shows, like the one 5 years ago, showing central Australia as a giant reservoir of either gas or crude.
