    Lithium will never be home storage/battery backup tech because it doesn't perform better than other elements in that space as they don't need to be portable. Lithium is the best for portable products due to it being the third lightest element. When it comes to immobile battery storage other 'heavier' elements like zinc out perform lithium.

    But at the moment the buzz is about cars, just wait til real buzz starts on home battery storage.
