If the buyback has started then the lower the share price the better the outcome for FMG. The more shares they get to cancel at lower prices the better the ratios down the track. If they were buying back now it would be analogous to back when they were getting the first cape sized vessels built, everyone was lamenting the low sp and the fall in the iop but FMG used it as an opportunity to do something of future worth. I don't think the point of the BB was ever to protect us from short selling or push up the sp, just to buyback as much of the stock as possible as cheap as possible, why would they want to pay higher prices, it would defeat the purpose.

But it is annoying and frustrating just the same, just when you think you're getting somewhere but FMG will make even this work for us.
