when i get a chance i may post a reply to pnv thread. as i said back then i generally dislike biotech as a space - just have a look what OSL organised for itself lately

though you get mischievous boards in every sector

technicals + patterns are imo the single most important thing to know - but not enough by themselves. fundamentals and capital structure are key to knowing if theyll hold. technicals work best on the biggest stocks - there you can pretty much use technical alone

i taught myself but id had a long time as a listed co and funds mgt exec before so understanding it was a bit easier for me.

investopedia is useful to understand patterns. basic technicals are trendlines for rising lows and rising highs + fibonacci retracements - you can teach yourself those with some trial and error using free charting package from places like investing.com.
