Funny, I seem to have entirely forgotten VPR. UCG didn't really fail at all. It's too long a story to tell here but basically there was an unfortunate non-fatal, remediable failure of the Kingaroy pilot plant that gave the Queensland govt the opportunity it was looking for to shut CXY down. Linc Energy has a similar story. If Poyndexter is anywhere around he can probably tell the story better than I can. Too long ago now for me. Funny how I keep on getting links to stories sent to me about the alleged resurgence of UCG in various parts of the world. They usually refer to continuing Australian research in UCG with mention of Cougar Energy and Linc Energy as being actively involved. Shows how much they know.
