Although they might be worried about shooting themselves in the foot. Interesting read in the SMH stating that gas expansion is terrible for Aus's emissions targets. Because an approx 1.x% leakage is calculated at extraction it totals far more than new coal mines which are exporting and burnt OS so don't count towards our emissions targets... So boat the coal and divert existing gas domestically to twiddle the figures, hopefully they would be above petting thinking like that, wait nevermind.
