I've always wondered why JOGMEC, the Japanese governments resources development bank, doesn't fund this project particularly if one of the offtakers is Japanese (quite likely). The have billions to lend on highly competitive terms. if the loan came with a trading house coming on to the ALK register, then that could be a double bonus. It has backed a range of metals, energy and coal projects in Australia. Surely ALK guys have tried them you'd think?
