I was discussing how to deal with these shares in my SMSF.

if delisted then I can't hold delisted funds so effectively written off, but I can take the loss.

the alternative they proposed was to effect an off market transaction from the SMSF to me. I have to pay the fund a market rate (which they suggested was the current value). when the delisting happens then I can keep the shares or do whatever and take the loss against personal tax.
