ALK paid $100k only , for this 1.8km extension to their Boda discovery tenement ...probably the least expensive "insurance premium "on possible continuity of the porphyry, that a company could make . On a north /south trend as well !!
What is very noticeable/striking , is that the Announcements of yesterday and today , are generally within "market expectations " ie have already been almost factored in as "assumed "to be the case .
The Quarterly , to the 31st Dec ....gave just a straightforward summary . As to Boda drilling , the fact that is was really a "bland"statement ...probably discounts that they have had rig or drilling "problems" , and that's a really good aspect ! .How far progress on the five planned holes , and of course the assays on the first ...looks like that is being "saved"for either teh Sydney Mining Club Presentation a week from today , and /or a trading halt leading into it .
So the volume traded the last two days , and the rapid bounce back from the minor sell down yesterday ......is clearly a sign of market strength . Either investors are deciphering that "the sum of the parts "for Alkane ( incl. its cash war chest ) make it a very cheap buy at todays prices ...... or the expectations are there that Boda Hole 2 and onwards , will see a repeat or better ..or likely both .
The persistence , determination and geological skills of Ian Chalmers and his team to keep finding jewels in the crown in this area ...and for long term investors to finally get rewarded ...all seem to be coming together . Lets hope the drill bit keeps finding the sweet spots !
