Hyandai recalled 77000 kona cars due to faulty LG Chem battery faulty related issues. LG NCM batteries have density but always experience overheating issues. is that the reason why most hard rock stocks fall? CALT and many other chinese battery producers focuses on LFP batteries instead which used lithium carbonate. i read an article sometime ago advising patents of LFP tech in china expires in 2021 so there will be more companies in europe and america will be allowed to use these patents. I will do more research into this as this will be in favour for brine producers. Cheaper and avoid overheating issues. Soon they will be able to increase more density.
