Spot on and combined this with the great broker data that @GCInvestor has been providing us and its clear that 2 things are at play here.
1) News isn't far off as alluded to by timelines mentioned by the company for final FAA approval and commercialisation of the CVM technology.
2) While many stocks have bounced hard along with the overall market SMN had been under selling pressure for some time now due to a single large seller; Phillip Capital's client, to the tune of 1.6 million shares. Phillip Capital's client is now all out and as soon as that happened the share priced rocketed. For what ever reason they wanted to sell which gave many the opportunity (thank you very much) to buy at a valuation that i consider to be very good prices.
Lets not forget SMN reached $3.00 odd approx 3.5 years ago with no AEM business which is now producing $20 million revenue and has given SMN the ability to secure the supply chain and oversee quality of its CVM sensor production and so it can now be seen, it was, at the time, 3.5 years away from full FAA approval which is now, finally, only weeks/months away.
Personally $3.00 per share would be a very disappointing outcome over the next 12-24 months time. I would expected SMN to achieve a much higher share price based on the continued progress of the AEM business, full FAA approval, and the roll out of our CVM technology to multiple airlines world wide who will be paying yearly royalties for the use of the CVM technology including the purchase of the sensors.
I believe SMN is finally on the verge of releasing its full potential and it is not often a company with such solid fundamentals, such disruptive technology and in such a massive industry comes around at such a low valuation.
Please DYOR as it is well worth the time when considering SMN. Go back over the last 5-10 years, read every article on Structural Health Monitoring, research the industry, research the cost savings of such a technology, research the safety benefits of such a technology, research the FAA CVM approval process, research the partnerships with Airbus (testia), Boeing, Sandia, Delta and then come to your own conclusion.
