Interesting turn of events overnight with Canada NIckels share price increasing 50%. Their CEO Mark Selby is claiming they will be able to produce zero carbon Nickel which he says the EV market is screaming out for. Nickel sulphide deposits are in the box seat to be the environmentally friendly, automotive grade nickel. Especially given how many tonnes of coal (25-30) it takes to produce 1mt of nickel from laterite deposits in Indonesia resulting in approximately 88 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
Is this a level of product that WSA can offer the market in the future? It gives them a competitive advantage given how scrutinised the EV supply chain is & will continue to be into the future.
