The company said operational approval from the Department of Primary Industries and Resources of South Australia (PIRSA) is expected soon.

“Regulatory approvals from PIRSA and other relevant authorities for the installation of the Flax processing and storage facilities, and the infield pipeline system have been received,” Innamincka said.

“The field compressor, which has been assembled and tested in Brisbane, will be installed in the field in July and gas injection is planned to commence in the August-September period.”

Innamincka also said road works and earthworks associated with the Flax processing facility are nearing completion.

Production from the Flax-1 well will be followed by Flax-3, 4 and 2 wells.

The Flax-5, 6 and 7 wells, and the Flax East-1 will be fracture stimulated in July and progressively tied into the field facilities as production wells.

The company said it is targeting 1000 barrels of oil per day from the well pattern once full pressure support is established.

Innamincka is operator and holds 75% of the Flax project while SCGAU has 25%.
