Does a regulatory body have to give its blessing to things that GGG commits to in the white paper?No, Not that I am aware of. The document is attached to the completed studies (EIA, SIA, Maratime Study etc) and submitted to Naalakkersuisut for the Exploitation License decision. All the regulatory bodies have completed their works by that stage. Its just up to the government to then decide upon the approval.
Also has there been any indication from GGG how long the "finance, off take, optimisations, partnerships, final test works, feasibility etc etc" will take?Each one would have a differing time frame.
However none but finance would stop commencement of mine construction beyond ml.
Prior MOU in 2018 suggested a binding offtake would be concluded within three months of the optimised flowsheet. Suggesting it to be the final requirement post ML. The ML however has been delayed since the impressively de‐risking optimised flowsheet (was published in Jan 2019). Then of course the test work continued to impress the market and Shenghe based on their presentation at the 2020 Greenland Day in Denmark was impressed as well.

So nothing has been updated since but youd suspect Shenghe, if still this interested has been doing their own preparation research into the project. Enough to establish import vehicles at least which youd expect them to only do post finance and proposition thoughts surely.

So once the ML is released and conditions known Id expect theres nothing stopping from negotiating the final terms and getting the project underway.
