According to the study, Neoen the proposed big battery energy storage system (BESS) as supporting the development of the Central-Orana renewable energy zone, the first such zone that the NSW government is aiming to develop, and which could see as much as 3,000MW of new wind and solar projects built in the region around the town of Dubbo.
it would nice if we could supply the materials for this new “great western battery” they plan to build.
I visit dad in Wellington (south east of Dubbo) a fair bit and every time I go out there it’s seems another paddock has been covered in solar panels, plus there’s about 30-50 wind turbines close by. It’s starting to look like a solar city out there and ASM is right in the middle of it.
