I know it is real. One of the few concerns that I have is the fact that it is such a volatile asset and no reasonable trader would want to base their business on it (exception is Elon Musk!). A business person may have a revenue of 1 Bitcoin today with a profit margin of 10% but come tomorrow or the next few days its value may drop 10% and he or she would have loss all the profit. I am not sure how a business can sustain this kind of value fluctuation.

Given that it is volatile, I would have to concluded that it is a manipulated market. So good luck to those who own it. Between Bitcoin and gold, I would prefer gold anytime even though it is not as sexy as Bitcoin.
