Who knows? Defective or not performing to specs is return to vendor for a full or partial refund? But a major PITA to pull it apart and send back so presumably yes they might?
I bet it played havoc with the performance of the entire plant though.
Seems like they just threw their arms up in the air once Covid-19 hit and gave up. Other undergound mines in NSW managed to keep operating when Covid-19 hit, were they reliant on a WA based workforce for the UG mine?
Someone is going to get a brand new sulphide flotation plant for next to nothing from the receivers, just has to cover the cost of relocation to a new site (if the fatal flaw was related to tonnes and grade from underground).
