imo i think this gamestop saga is the biggest thing to happen in Wall street period. Makes the 1987 Wall st crash look like a non event.
The scary thing is that its only the beginning of something big which will spill over onto other stocks as you said.
Its a lose-lose for Hedge funds either way imo.
Even if the redditors lose the battle of the shorts , they will pick up their bat and ball and just head to crypto land instead leaving the Hedge Funds with no one to short their stocks against.
Retail investors will follow the redditors and Elon due to the trust factor and the Wall St will sink.
