The antibacterial application for food packaging is exciting and further along development than many other applications. It's an age old problem of how to keep food fresher and/or edible for longer and halloysite might just be the key to the next leap forward in this space.
There is research dating back to 2017 using loaded halloysite with antibacterial oils (like peppermint IIRC). There are several videos from researchers on youtube from around the world.
The cost savings here are phenomenal for food wastage.
I'm unsure why these products haven't hit the market already.
It won't happen overnight, but it will happen.
PS also antibacterial bandaids? wound dressing for animals and humans? this is why there is exponential growth in the halloysite research!
