The average price has caught me out. It seems to indicate we are getting that months IO price, rather than the price from the preceding month as others had indicated. So rather than getting over $200 USD/t for our July and August shipments, based on June and July prices, we seem to have received the much lower July and August prices. That's a significant impact because we did 3 shipments in August which was half the total for the quarter.
Yes we made $25 million net which is excellent. It amounts to 5.3 cps profit so annualised we'd profit by the current share price. Plus of course, we have 19cps in cash which will reduce when the divi gets paid.
The company is going great and is set to go better given we averaged AUD$167/t for the quarter, but have half the production hedged at AUD$230 for 45% of production. That's close to an extra $10 million straight to the bottom line for the hedged lower grade each quarter for the next 12 months. The hedging alone could pay the final divi plus a 3.5cps interim divi. Nice!
