vaccination doesn't necessarily stop you from getting covid, it reduces its severity, and in turn the risk of being hospitalised and dying.
case numbers are increasing as restrictions, such as lockdowns, are being loosened - because (sensible, rational) people are vaccinated, incidence will increase, though without a concomitant increase in severe sickness, hospitalisation, and excess deaths.
but you don't care, do you.
