"The Mt Weld supergene-enriched REE deposit is developed from a carbonatite in Western
Australia and was discovered in the 1960's. Despite Mt Weld being one of the world's
richest deposits, mining only commenced in 2007 with concentrates transported from site in
2011. It took until 2013 for production to commence from a Malaysia-based processing
plant."
