it is low, but this is a factor of the low feed grade (<1.0% Ni) and abundant other sulfides in the ore. So 779t Ni recovered, and 458t went to the tailings dam. Some of this nickel going to the dam would have been locked up in silicate minerals also, and was therefore never recoverable. It was the first batch through, performance will improve with time.
