To give you some perspective, the Ords analyst had a buy when LYC was around $2+ around 2018-19 period, then moved to a sell when MP got revitalised around 2021 when LYC i recalled was around $4+. The analyst had since been stubborn with his call and persisted with the negativity. I vaguely recall he had to keep upgrading his price target without looking ridiculously out of place.
Anyway, bear in mind - sell-side analysts - never rely on them on investment calls. You better off investing indirectly via ETFs than relying on sell-side analyst calls ~ that professional is hamstrung by protocols and rigidity. Also, in my experience, the majority of sell-side analysts do not make good investors ~ only a small minority has proven to do so.
