YAL discusses rainfall in the March quarter, which was extensive.
However in April 2022, looking at the Bureau's figures, to date there's only been 9.3 millimetres at Murrurundi, though much higher at Singleton Army Base (37.2mm). Median April rainfall for the latter is about 47mm and 41.9mm for Murrurundi, so both are still below 'normality' with 10 days to go in the month.
While only a minority of YAL's sales are of the higher calorific value coal, the Newcastle thermal coal futures tonight are again positive, with US345.00 for June 2022 contracts traded. It's the consistency in these prices that we should like.
