Perhaps a major will buy PCL to avoid the uncertainty of missing out on it in a tender.
To go from majors giving almost no money for juniors to FOMO would be a ridiculously quick turn of events but is possible.
The caveat is that would require the major to not see inside the data room, as that would be inside info. Would a major have seen enough publicly to launch a takeover?
Maybe. What I really liked was management saying after Graff struck oil "we are more like Venus". A lot of managers would have latched into the Graff news, so it's very promising, that there was enough data pre Venus drill result to be confident and maybe the majors see that.
