some of the people buying carbon credits today is O+G companies to lower their emissions target but even that is changing with the likes of Santos developing their carbon capture and strage which they will use and sell credits to others. As for SOP in WA these projects are already very low in emissions as their evaporation is by the sun then with the additional solar panels and turbines to power the process plant this leaves companies like APC very green and almost fully powered by renewables just to begin with.
