Hey Spid, I don't think the other posters can see beyond their noses! Whilst it is true that graphite mining and initial processing to create flake graphite product is challenging, there is no ignoring the fact that graphite in its basic concentrate form is a necessity for the massively growing EV market. Graphite mines are the foundation for all the varied applications the world demands. However, its the lucrative downstream value-add proposition of Active Anode Material at (as you point out) US$5,000-12,000 per tonne that's the profit-maker.
What does it matter if Skaland never turns a profit at its current output? The improvements to the plant to increase FC purity % and economy-of-scale will result in the mine being profitable in the near future. Not only that, the price of small flakes and fines is increasing all the time. The other posters actually
can see beyond their noses, they just have an agenda to try and stifle any constructive discussion. They don't want prospective readers to know where MRC is headed and that we have an operational graphite mine in the most proactive EV province of the world.
Let them whinge on about stuff that is now so irrelevant and/or incorrect that they can't see the forest for the trees. Besides, I say good riddance to a CEO who has the audacity to pay himself over $1.5 mil in salary and perks, gets himself embroiled in situations unbecoming of someone of an executive position and potentially damage the reputation of this company we're invested? Can't wait for him to sell the last of his shares.... all the more for us! And, lets give Jacob Deysel the chance to prove himself, FGS.
