The "mine profit" as you say dropped as ore prices are referenced to a headline price like NPI. So if it falls so do ore prices. This is the explanation.
All the other things you've said don't make sense.
The report looks good to me and in-line with prev guidance. Obviously things has deteriorated but nothing we didn't expect. It's still too early to call the bottom, but there are some green shoots appearing Ref increasing NPI and ss demand in Oct.
