Mainland China is fixated on producing all it needs from the family run operations mining low quality 3500cal stuff, a lower grade than from the NSW Hunter Valley.
Perhaps there'll be a few shipments of coal from "us" and these will gradually increase but most if not all is committed to Japan/South Korea/Taiwan and to a lesser extent southeast Asia plus now a bit to far away Europe, so even if the communists want some, it's probably challenging to supply.
