OK amigo, I'll take the bait. I've copied page 1 from the quarterly financial report by Corazon and pasted it below. The operating costs (ie salaries/admin/corporate) totalled $150,000 for the quarter. That's pretty reasonable in the dog-eat-dog world of the ASX - most juniors spend double that on operating costs. For the 9 months the operating/corporate spend was $603,000 which is similarly much lower than for most junior explorers. (There are many juniors who run through this amount of money in just 3 months!) Now with regards to the spend on exploration, the exploration & evaluation (drilling, assays, geophysics) was $1,736,000 in the last quarter. That's huge, but from my interpretation of announcements, this money paid for the 3D geophysics at Fraser Lake and EM geophysics at Miriam, plus the drilling at Fraser Lake as well as the metallurgical drilling at El Deposit and exporation drilling at Lynn Lake. The exploration spend for the 9 months was $3,820,000 which tells me that Coarzon has heavily weighted its spend on making the next discovery, rather than lifestyle. From my time as an investor in Corazon, I reckon the company has a consistent record of weighting its expenditure on exploration - unfortunately the team has missed the target on many occasions. I'm not complaining about that - it's much better than most junior explorers on the ASX. Now, if I haven't put @vigilante3 into a coma yet, or caused @Y4ukikmycow to burst his foofoo valve, it's time to shine the crystal ball and put on the rose-coloured glasses. To start with, I'm looking forward to Corazon getting its drilling program approved for Miriam in late May and announcing very good results in June for nickel sulphides as well as spodumene (wouldn't that be great). Also, at Lynn Lake the current metallurgical studies should be finished by the end of May and that will lead onto the big resource upgrade in July (according to Brett the Fox Smith: "New mineral resource estimates are expected by be finalised by the end of July, with mining and development studies on-going throughout this process."). The combined mining studies, metallurgical studies & resource upgrade will then allow the company to do the prefeasibility economic study later this years (according to the Fox: "It is intended that these new resource estimates will form the basis of mining studies into the economic viability of Lynn Lake’s redevelopment.") So, I'm happy with those developments in 2023. I don't know what is going to happen at Mt Gilmore. The area has no mobile phone reception, but from smoke signals I understand that the Three Stooges plus the boys and gals from Uni of Tasmania have tasted the lifestyle in subtropical NSW and experienced the local "produce" of the dope capital of Oz. So we can't expect too much from them for a long, long time. So leaving Mt Gilmore aside, my crystal ball is showing that in the next four months, the announcements on Miriam and Lynn Lake will trigger the massive re-rate that investor's have been waiting on for years. Fingers are crossed amigos.
