thanks for making me look into alphamin. I agree their share price is recovering a little (but still a fair way down from $1.42 at its peak last year also).
the difference is Alphamin is a "new" mine and still ramping up production. all things equal, I believe the following catalysts are in Alphamin favour, and propping up the share price in addition to the price of tin. most of the information is taken from their June 2023 investor update:
- Expansion from 12.5ktpa to 20ktpa
- March 2023: process plane election commences
- planned process plant commissioning December 2023
- increased indicated resource by 286% in Feb
so yeah also hardly unsurprising that their share price is up
