Surprise, surprise...... Naysayers being disparaging to anything related to the old Vango. The old may be new again but so stupid to pick on Trident. Bruce Kay must have it so wrong, an idiot, a rookie GEO, out of his depth of competency. Even though he is regarded as a legend in Oz Geo folklore and is Rinehart’s wingman. So, PC, if you wish to do proper research, please call him to confirm or not (like many have done) why out of all the 42 pre-existing mines in the Marymia region Kay chose Trident? And he in summary will tell you it’s the high grade known and unknown potential resource availability at shallow depth and low cost. My bet would have been the Salmon pit but alas he (being the expert) has easily convinced us that Trident will be the first to be commercially mined and I have first dibs on the inaugural gold bar J .
Furthermore, to my friend PB, the aquafers and the water tables at Trident were all identified and mapped 5 years ago together with the finding of a prehistoric amoeba which was submitted to the WA Department of mines and ecology and environment for approval. The plans/report concluded that the use of the aquafers is to be viewed as invaluable resource in the extraction of gold and for human consumption use. PB and PC I think you are North American based? Therefore, you may not be aware that Meekatharra (Marymia) is in the middle of a desert! If gold is gold, then water is regarded as being more valuable than rare earth minerals (which may also be present).
Now PC I know you won’t but please try and substantiate with facts why you believe “Trident is a canard”?
