I think 7% is the royalty rate on coal price up to $100 in Queensland and it goes higher for higher prices of coal. However, with New Acland as most of the producing site is owned by New Hope those royalties are a non-event as the landowner receives the royalties. Consequently, statements that NHC pays 7% royalties are misleading as NHC only pays that out on a fraction of its coal.
