Are you serious? Adam Smith's free market capitalism is based on an assumption of a competitive marketplace. There isn't a competitive marketplace in Australia. In just about every industry there are 2,3 or 4 main players and competition is limited (eg airlines, food retailers, energy providers, banking, telecommunications) Ten years of Liberal Coalition Governments in NSW and federally has put NSW in a parlous state. Essential workers (eg nurses, ambulance officers, police, teachers, bus drivers) in increasing numbers cannot afford to live in Sydney and Governments can't afford to meet the bill for increased wages nor provide affordable accommodation. It will take years to clean up the mess left by negligent governments sprouting free market ideology.
