First unless you shoot the cow you will have more pats tomorrow. Now the methane the cow puts out is a whole other problem. If you do not let wood grow then you will run out. Yes you burn anything by definition it has to generate CO2 and usually some other nasty things. Wood and grasses are a little hard. You burn them you do make CO2 but if you let them rot you get some CO2 and a lot of CH4 which is far worse than CO2. Oh well.
