i was hoping for better costs for the Dec quarter. I still find the style of producing quarterly updates lacking in cost metrics but touting revenue side figures predominantly somewhat with a grain of salt.
the headline "cash cost" of $1,796 is also somewhat confusing. I don't get why they call this the cash cost an ounce when they clearly have a different cash cost in page 3. I am perhaps more accustomed to more larger sized gold outfits reporting but I certainly see far better margins at other producers currently. It seems the market agrees as the share price is sitting at a pretty dismal low even with the latest lady Ida news.
despite shareholder value barely budging there is a bump up in director fees?
sustaining costs for the year and particularly Dec 23 imply aisc and aic costs likely exceeding the sold price , so on an accounting basis they are just scraping by.
again I am somewhat taking everything with a grain of salt with the way costs are published. E.g. why is sustaining costs excluding capital expenditure at the bottom of the table? Surely they have sustaining capital. Or is it all non sustaining?
