You can always take the bears perspective, I think coal is short term bearish but long term bullish, the long term bearish perspective would be "thermal coal is dead", everybody is going to transition to wind, solar, hydro and batteries.
I reckon it will still be used for decades and decades to come, as to successfully make a full transition to these other energies heaps of infrastructure is needed, and it nearly requires everyone to be wealthy for it to be a success and how can everyone be wealthy when the Labor and Greens are pretty much working against every small business and the problems are worser in some European countries, thus you are relying on mega companies with massive profits to be able to afford a transition and to employ a lot of us.
Just my opinion, but for everyone to go "net zero" if that's even possible costs massively.
